Dog food safety has raised people’s awareness about the food they feed to their dogs. It also means more public service needs to be available to help dog owners to protect their dog.

However, the news report about ‘finding human Tylenol in pets food’ during a lab tests done in Texas disheartens people.

Dr. Mike Hutchinson of Animal General in Cranberry could not confirm which company produced the food. But he said that it is not among the 150 companies that were involved in the largest dog food recall in history.
Human Tylenol

It is very dangerous and could be lethal if dogs accidentally eat Tylenol contaminated food. The equivalent of about seven 500-milligram caplets of acetaminophen would be enough to kill a medium-sized dog.

If you notice that you dog has the following symptoms of vomiting, lethargy, trouble breathing, bruised or brown-colored gums, you should contact your veterinarians.

If you are concerned about the quality of commercial dog food, you may want to explore alternatives such as homemade dog food etc.
